Dryer Loud or Squeaky in San Clemente

San Clemente's coastal environment creates unique challenges for dryer maintenance that we see regularly on our south Orange County service route. In the older Spanish-style homes near North Beach and T-Street, we frequently encounter squeaky dryers where the original Whirlpool and GE units have been fighting salt exposure for decades in those tight stucco-walled laundry closets.

The newer construction up in Talega and Forster Ranch presents different noise issues, typically related to the Samsung and LG models popular in those developments. These homes often have dryers installed in second-story laundry rooms or garage conversions where vibration amplifies through the structure. The combination of San Clemente's marine air and the dust that blows in during Santa Ana conditions creates a perfect storm for debris accumulation around blower wheels and drum components, leading to the rattling and thumping sounds that prompt most of our service calls in this area.
