Refrigerator Leaking Water in Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach's split personality creates two distinct refrigerator environments that both lead to water leakage issues. Down by King Harbor and the Esplanade, the constant salt air means we're regularly replacing corroded defrost drain tubes and water line connections that have deteriorated from marine exposure. Those waterfront condos and townhomes built in the '80s and '90s often house side-by-side Samsung and LG units where the plastic drain components simply can't handle the corrosive coastal environment long-term.

Up in North Redondo near Aviation Boulevard, it's a different story but the same result. The older ranch homes from the '60s and '70s typically run Whirlpool and Kenmore refrigerators that have been working hard for decades. Here, the drier inland air combined with dust infiltration from the nearby 405 freeway creates clogged defrost drains and overflowing drip pans. The Riviera Village area falls somewhere in between, where we see a mix of issues depending on whether you're in a renovated bungalow closer to the coast or a newer build further inland.
