Marina del Rey's waterfront location creates a perfect storm for refrigerator water leaks that inland residents rarely face. The constant salt air drifting in from the harbor accelerates corrosion in defrost drain lines and water inlet connections, particularly in the high-rise condos along Via Marina and Admiralty Way where ocean exposure is most direct. We see chronic drain blockages in units facing the water, where salt residue combines with normal condensation to create stubborn clogs that back up into the refrigerator compartment.
