Microwave Turntable Not Spinning in Ladera Ranch

Ladera Ranch's newer microwave installations, primarily Samsung, LG, and KitchenAid units from the 2000s and 2010s, are experiencing turntable motor failures at higher rates than we'd typically expect for their age. The compact kitchen designs popular in the townhomes along Sienna Parkway often position built-in microwaves directly above ranges, where they're exposed to more steam and cooking vapors than countertop units. This constant moisture exposure can corrode the turntable motor connections and affect the electronic control boards that manage rotation timing in these newer models.

The family homes throughout Ladera Ranch's main parkways see heavy microwave use with large households, and the turntable systems in these units work overtime. Unlike older mechanical microwaves, the Samsung and LG models popular here rely on electronic sensors to detect turntable rotation. When dust from the surrounding hills infiltrates through ventilation gaps, it can coat these sensors and cause the control board to incorrectly assume the turntable is malfunctioning, even when the motor itself is fine.
