The inland location brings specific challenges that affect door mechanisms. Summer temperatures regularly reach the high 80s and 90s, causing thermal expansion in plastic door components and torsion springs. The dust from surrounding hills settles into door seals and latch mechanisms, particularly problematic for the sensor-based door switches common in newer Samsung and LG models.
