Dryer Not Heating in Hermosa Beach

Dryer heating issues are particularly common in Hermosa Beach's compact living spaces, where most homes squeeze stackable or combo units into converted closets that barely have room for proper ventilation. The constant salt air from the beach corrodes heating elements faster than you'd see even five miles inland, and the fine sand that drifts up from the strand gets everywhere — including your dryer's exhaust vent. We regularly find vents so packed with sand and lint that airflow drops to nearly nothing, causing thermal fuses to blow as the unit overheats trying to push air through the blockage.

The housing stock here doesn't help matters. Many of the older beach cottages and narrow townhomes have dryer vents that snake through multiple walls before reaching the exterior, creating perfect spots for lint buildup. Combined with the damp ocean air that never fully dries out, these lengthy vent runs create the perfect storm for heating failures.
