Oven & Range Door Won't Close Properly in Fountain Valley

In Fountain Valley's established neighborhoods, particularly around Mile Square Park and along the Heil Avenue corridor, we see a lot of oven door alignment issues in those classic 1970s and 1980s tract homes. These houses came with solid built-in ovens from Whirlpool, GE, and early Maytag models that have been through decades of daily use by families who've stayed put in this stable community. The heavy-duty construction of these older units means the ovens themselves keep running strong, but the door mechanisms — hinges, springs, and latches — show their age after 30-40 years of opening and closing several times a day.

The newer Samsung and LG ranges we service in the updated kitchens along Ward Street and in the townhome developments near the 405 present different door problems. These units often have more complex hinge systems and electronic door locks that can be finicky. We've noticed that Fountain Valley's flat, inland location means these garage and kitchen appliances work harder during those hot summer months, and the constant temperature cycling can cause metal components to expand and contract enough to throw door alignment off over time.
