Oven & Range Burner Won't Light in Fountain Valley

Fountain Valley's established neighborhoods see this burner lighting issue constantly, especially in the 1970s tract homes along Heil Avenue and around Mile Square Park where original Whirlpool and GE gas ranges are still doing daily duty. After decades of family cooking, these ranges develop the classic symptoms — that endless clicking without ignition, or worse, complete silence when you turn the knob. The problem hits particularly hard in Fountain Valley because many of these homes still have their original kitchen ventilation, which means grease and cooking residue accumulate faster around burner components than in homes with modern exhaust systems.

The newer Samsung and LG ranges in the updated kitchens along Ward Street and in the townhome developments near the 405 aren't immune either. Fountain Valley's mineral-rich water leaves deposits that work their way into gas lines and burner assemblies over time, while the inland heat keeps these ranges working harder during summer months when families avoid using the oven and rely heavily on stovetop cooking instead.
