Oven & Range Uneven Heating in Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock's century-old Craftsman homes and bungalows present unique challenges when it comes to oven performance. Many of these homes along Colorado Boulevard and the hillside streets still house original electrical panels from the 1920s and 1940s, which can deliver inconsistent voltage to modern appliances. We regularly service older Kenmore and GE ranges in these homes that develop uneven heating due to voltage fluctuations — the bake element on one side receives less power, creating hot and cold spots that leave homeowners frustrated with lopsided cookies and unevenly browned casseroles.

The neighborhood's mix of original appliances and newer Samsung and LG units installed during renovations creates an interesting service landscape. In the tighter kitchen footprints typical of pre-war Eagle Rock homes, especially those climbing Hill Drive and the streets above the boulevard, ovens are often squeezed into spaces that restrict proper air circulation.
