FAQ
Is it safe to diagnose a microwave over video?+
Yes. We only inspect externally accessible components. We never ask you to open the cabinet — microwave capacitors hold lethal voltage even when unplugged.
My microwave is sparking — should I stop using it?+
Yes, stop immediately. It's likely a damaged waveguide cover (cheap fix) but continued use risks fire. We'll confirm on the video call.
Are microwaves worth repairing?+
It depends on the model and issue. Built-in and over-the-range models are usually worth fixing. Countertop models under $200 are often cheaper to replace.
What if you can't diagnose it?+
We focus on the externally visible components — waveguide cover, door switches, turntable, and control panel. If we can't pinpoint the issue from those, full refund.
