Appliance Help for All of California
Virtual appliance repair available statewide. Video diagnosis from a 35-year expert based in Los Angeles — $49, online.
TruePro is based in Encino, and our in-home repair service covers Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties. But if you're in San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, or anywhere else in California, we can still help. A $49 video diagnosis gets you the same expert — Simon Kagan, 35 years of experience — just over a video call instead of in your kitchen.
Why homeowners are switching to video diagnosis
Service calls in California run $89-150+ just for the visit
Bay Area and coastal cities see even higher diagnostic fees. Some companies in San Francisco and San Jose charge $150+ before they touch anything.
Good technicians are booked 5-7 days out in most metro areas
California's housing density and appliance repair technician shortage mean long waits — especially in the Bay Area, San Diego, and the Inland Empire.
Rural and Central Valley areas have limited repair options
If you're in Fresno, Bakersfield, or the Central Coast, your choices for experienced appliance repair are limited. Some areas have 1-2 companies serving the entire region.
Appliance issues specific to California
- Hard water in Central Valley and Inland Empire areas accelerates appliance wear — especially dishwashers and water heaters
- Coastal humidity in SF and Monterey can cause corrosion on appliance components
- Extreme heat in desert and valley areas stresses refrigerator compressors
- Older housing stock in San Francisco and LA means older, harder-to-service appliances

FAQ
Can you do in-home repair outside SoCal?+
Currently our in-home service covers LA, Orange, and Ventura counties. For the rest of California, we offer video diagnosis — same expert, same quality, just remote. The written report you receive makes it easy to hire a local company for the actual repair.
Why should I pay for a video diagnosis when I can just call a local company?+
Local companies charge $89-150 for a diagnostic visit and they have every incentive to sell you a repair. Our $49 video diagnosis gives you an independent opinion before you commit to anyone. You'll know what's wrong, what it should cost, and whether it's worth fixing.
Do you know anything about repair companies in my area?+
We can give you general guidance on what to look for in a repair company and what a fair price looks like for your specific repair. We don't endorse specific local companies, but we can help you evaluate the quotes you get.
Is the video diagnosis as good as an in-person visit?+
For diagnosis, it's comparable — about 85% of problems can be identified by sight and sound. The main limitation is that we can't physically test components with a multimeter. For the 15% of cases that need hands-on testing, we'll tell you that upfront and refund your fee.
