Maytag Washer Not Spinning

Maytag's Commercial Technology platform, used in many residential models, features a dual-action agitator and heavy-duty transmission that can develop clutch assembly problems over time. The clutch mechanism that allows the basket to spin freely during the spin cycle often wears out, especially in models with high usage. Additionally, Maytag's lid switch assembly tends to fail more frequently than other brands due to the magnetic lid lock design, which can cause intermittent no-spin conditions even when the lid appears properly closed.
