The brand's electronic control boards, especially the main PCB assembly, are also prone to capacitor failure that disrupts the compressor start sequence.

Frigidaire's condenser coil placement beneath the unit makes them especially vulnerable to dust and pet hair accumulation, which is exacerbated by the brand's unique fan motor design that pulls air differently than Whirlpool or GE units. Additionally, Frigidaire's proprietary refrigerant charging system in side-by-side models often develops leaks at the evaporator coil connections, particularly in the FFSS and FGHC series, requiring complete system evacuation and recharge rather than simple top-offs that work on other brands.
