Dryer Overheating in Agua Dulce

Out here in Agua Dulce's expansive rural properties, we see dryer overheating issues more frequently than you might expect. The combination of our desert climate conditions and the dust that naturally comes with horse properties and wide-open spaces creates a perfect storm for clogged dryer vents. Many of the larger custom homes we service between Agua Dulce and Acton have extensive vent runs that snake through walls and attics, giving lint and debris plenty of places to accumulate and restrict airflow.

The elevated summer temperatures in our corner of the Santa Clarita Valley don't help matters either. When your laundry room is already running warm, and your dryer's working harder due to restricted airflow, overheating becomes almost inevitable. We've noticed that homes with utility rooms facing west or south tend to have more frequent overheating issues, especially during those brutal August afternoons when temperatures can climb well into the 90s and beyond.
